Building the Talent Pipeline
Manufacturing is only as good as the people that are a part of it. Creating a regional human capital supply chain to provide the talent needed to maintain and advance the competitiveness of Great Lakes Manufacturing is the goal of the Workforce/Talent Group.
The Great Lakes Manufacturing Council has received a grant from the Joyce Foundation to support its efforts to create a Manufacturing Talent Pipeline.
Strategies include:
- Creating partnerships and share best practices
- Adopting common curriculum / certifications for common regional labor market needs among multiple manufacturing employers
