Membership in the GLMC provides access to a diverse cross-section of leaders and the opportunity to participate in strategy-level discussions to promote the economic health and growth of the Great Lakes region. Members provide the GLMC with important support and strategic guidance for ongoing policy discussion and regional projects.GLMC members are:
- informed through the website, newsletters and events about key issues affecting the region’s manufacturing community.

Conferences, advisory council meetings, and events provide members the opportunity to network with stakeholders from throughout the Great Lakes and to get a broad perspective of the issues facing the region.
